Where Tradition Holds

Chester's medieval rows and Tudor black-and-white frontages have survived nine centuries of English history. The cock bead joinery found on the finest period cabinetry in the city's Georgian townhouses inspired The Chester's defining detail: a refined raised bead moulding framing each flat drawer front. Built in our Bristol workshop, The Chester pairs this traditional detailing with chunky shaker end panels and sturdy square legs for a vanity that feels both grounded and quietly distinguished.

Painted in five Farrow & Ball colours, with optional dovetailed solid oak drawer box upgrades. For real oak throughout, see The Kingsbridge.

Cock Bead Detailing

Each drawer front is framed with a precision-routed cock bead moulding. A subtle raised border that catches the light and references the fine period cabinetry found in England's grandest townhouses. The flat panel sits recessed within the bead for a clean, architectural profile.

Farrow & Ball Spray Finish

Every unit is spray-finished by hand in your choice of five Farrow & Ball colours: Railings, Brinjal, Studio Green, Stiffkey Blue, or Elephants Breath. Two coats of primer and two top coats of premium paint, hand-sanded between each, for a finish that will not crack, chip, or yellow.

Beyond the Standard Range

Bespoke or Heirloom?

Standard Chesters run from 600mm to 1600mm in painted finish. If your space needs a different size, custom colour, or non-standard configuration, we'll build it. Looking for real oak throughout? See The Kingsbridge.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Chester is available in six standard widths: 600mm, 800mm, and 1000mm in a single basin configuration, and 1200mm, 1400mm, and 1600mm in a double basin configuration. All sizes are floor-standing with either sit-on or undermount basin options. If you need a non-standard width, bespoke sizing is available. Get in touch with your dimensions and we'll quote within 48 working hours.

The Chester is offered in painted finish only, in your choice of five Farrow & Ball colours. If you'd like an oak version of a similar traditional style, look at The Kingsbridge, which is built in real European oak from frame to drawer box and offered in seven hand-stained tones. If you specifically want a Chester profile in oak as a bespoke build, get in touch and we'll quote it.

The Clifton features vertical fluted drawer fronts with tapered legs for a more contemporary aesthetic and is offered in both painted and real oak finishes. The Chester has flat drawer fronts with refined cock bead moulding borders, chunky shaker end panels, and sturdy square legs for a more traditional, grounded look, in painted finish only. Both ranges share the same construction quality, Farrow & Ball colour options, quartz worktop choices, and drawer upgrade options.

Five Farrow & Ball colours: Railings (deep charcoal navy), Brinjal (rich aubergine), Studio Green (forest green), Stiffkey Blue (deep moody blue), and Elephants Breath (warm dusty mushroom). Each unit receives two coats of primer and two top coats of premium paint, hand-sanded between each coat, applied in our temperature-controlled spray booth. If you'd like a colour outside these five, including any other Farrow & Ball shade, Little Greene, or Dulux Heritage, get in touch and we'll quote for a bespoke finish.

A cock bead is a fine raised moulding that runs around the perimeter of a drawer front. It originates from 18th-century English cabinetmaking where it served both a decorative and practical purpose, protecting the edges of veneered surfaces from chipping. On The Chester, the cock bead frames each flat drawer panel, creating a subtle border that catches the light and adds depth without overpowering the design.

Every Chester is made to order in our Bristol workshop with a standard lead time of 4 to 6 weeks from the date of your order. Delivery is nationwide on a flat £95 rate to mainland UK, with two-person handling to the ground floor as standard. Every unit arrives fully assembled. We'll send build-window updates throughout the 4 to 6 weeks so you know when to expect us.

The Chester is available with three quartz worktop finishes: Pure White, Carrara Cashmere, and Calacatta Gold. Worktops are pre-cut to the exact dimensions of your unit, basin cutout pre-formed, polished, and dispatched separately ready to install on site. All quartz options are heat-resistant, scratch-resistant, and non-porous. Bespoke marble worktops are available on request for those wanting a natural stone alternative. You can also order without a worktop if you're sourcing your own stone or timber surface.

The Chester starts from £1,495 for the 600mm single vanity. Pricing scales with size up to the 1600mm double at the upper end of the standard range. Quartz worktops and dovetailed oak drawer upgrades are priced as add-ons through the product page. All prices include VAT and standard delivery to mainland UK.
