Curated to Pair

Basins, Sourced
For Our Vanities

We do not make basins. Designing, casting, and firing ceramic is a craft of its own, mastered by manufacturers who have spent generations refining their glazes and proportions. Rather than compete with them, we source from the makers we trust, including Arezzo, Burlington Guild, VitrA, and RAK Ceramics. Each basin is selected for how cleanly it sits with our vanity ranges, in proportion, in profile, and in tap configuration.

Countertop basins sit on top of the vanity worktop with the bowl fully exposed, a sculptural choice that suits the sit-on configurations of our Clifton, Chester, and Reeded ranges. Undermount basins fit from beneath, with the worktop edge framing the bowl, suited to the undermount configurations of every vanity in our catalogue including the Kingsbridge. Where you add a quartz worktop, we drill tap holes and undermount cutouts to your chosen basin at no extra cost.

Curated to fit our vanities. From £124.

Basin FAQs

Common questions about our curated range of ceramic basins, sourced to pair with our vanity units. Need something specific? Call us on 0117 990 2953 or email hello@mockridgedesign.com.

Basins are a personal choice, and bundling them into the vanity would force everyone into one default. Selling them separately means you can pair your vanity with the basin shape, size, and finish that suits your bathroom, whether that is a sculptural countertop bowl or a discreet undermount. We have curated the basins on this page to fit our vanity ranges in proportion, profile, and tap configuration, so any combination on the site will work together.

Countertop basins sit on top of the vanity worktop with the bowl fully exposed, a sculptural look that pairs with the sit-on configurations of our Clifton, Chester, and Reeded ranges. Undermount basins fit from beneath the worktop, with the worktop edge framing the bowl and only the inside of the basin visible from above. Undermount pairs with the undermount configurations of every vanity in our catalogue, including the Kingsbridge. The choice is mostly aesthetic, although undermount tends to make cleaning easier as there is no rim sitting on the worktop to trap water.

Yes. Every basin on this page has been selected specifically to pair with our vanity ranges. Countertop basins match the sit-on configurations across the Clifton, Chester, and Reeded. Undermount basins match the undermount configurations across every range, including the Kingsbridge. If you order a vanity with a quartz worktop, we cut the worktop and the basin cutout to suit your chosen basin at no extra cost. If you are sourcing a basin from elsewhere, contact us before ordering your vanity so we can confirm dimensions.

We do not make basins. Designing, casting, and firing ceramic is a craft of its own, mastered by manufacturers who have spent generations refining their glazes and proportions. We source from the makers we trust, including Arezzo, Burlington Guild, VitrA, and RAK Ceramics. Each basin in our curated selection is chosen for how cleanly it sits with our vanities. The manufacturer is listed on each individual basin product page.

If you order a quartz worktop with your vanity, we drill tap holes to your exact specification at no extra cost, including single-hole, three-hole, and bridge mixer configurations. The basin itself may also have its own tap deck depending on the model. Some basins are designed for deck-mounted taps and have one or three pre-formed tap holes; others are designed for wall-mounted brassware and have none. The tap hole configuration is listed in the specifications on each basin product page. Contact us if you need help matching a basin to a specific tap.

Most basins on this page take a standard 1¼ inch basin waste, available from any plumbers merchant. Whether you need a slotted waste (for basins with an overflow channel) or an unslotted waste (for basins without) depends on the specific basin, and this is listed in the specifications on each product page. Wastes and pop-up plugs are not included with the basin and must be sourced separately.

Inspect every basin on arrival before installation. Ceramic is fragile and although our suppliers pack each piece in protective inserts, transit damage occasionally happens. If you find any damage, chips, or hairline cracks, report it to us within 48 hours of delivery on hello@mockridgedesign.com and we will arrange a free replacement or a full refund. Please do not install a basin showing any sign of damage, as we cannot accept liability for installed pieces.

A soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive bathroom cleaner will keep a ceramic basin looking as new for decades. Avoid bleach, scouring pads, abrasive powders, and acidic descalers, as all of these can dull or damage the fired glaze over time. For limescale build-up around the tap, a 50/50 solution of warm water and white vinegar applied with a soft cloth is safe and effective. Dry the basin after use to prevent water marks on darker finishes.

Basins usually ship within 5 working days from our supplier. Delivery to mainland UK is £9.95, and free when ordered alongside a Mockridge vanity unit. Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland, and offshore islands may incur a surcharge, contact us for a quote. If you have ordered a basin and a vanity together, both will arrive at the same time on the vanity lead time of 4 to 6 weeks, unless you request earlier dispatch of the basin.
